This is a story about a personal experience in my village of Janjac, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the last civil war, I had an opportunity to contemplate the duality of life and death through the illusionary window of an abandoned, and largely destroyed house. That house once belonged to my great uncle and I remember it full of life and excitement. Being in that spot at that time, I consciously chose life over death by looking into the magic of sunlight, the beauty of nature and the village, as well as the simplicity of people's life.

You've captured the beauty of the area. What's the story with the singing in the soundtrack?

Wow! That's what you've been up to. Nice quality camera. I didn't understand the extent of the wreckage when you described it to us after your trip at the time. Video speaks a thousand words.
This is exciting because we've got documentaries to share. I just made one as well:

I'm fascinated by the emotions that surface simply by watching it. You cannot help but feel great compassion. Yet, the beauty that surrounds it brings peace to the suffering.
It's captivating and charming, with an unexpected humour!
Beautifuly made! It should definitely be selected for the next round!
p.s. Many I have shared it with are moved by it...
Good luck!

The interior of the house speaks very intimately with a timelessness that is beyond words; the quiet dialogue is equally clear and personal, yet universal. The Window provides a view which is equally peaceful and disturbing.
