The Roots Challenge is open to all film makers, amateur, professional or semi-professional. Radio Canada International opens up all its platforms to all types of artistic expressions to learn more about you, your culture, your history, and how you see the world. Roots is a reflection of your identity and consequently what makes Canada what it is today.

As a participant in The Roots Challenge, you decide what you want to tell others about your roots or what you may perceive as your lack of roots. It’s your choice. This is the third contest launched by Radio Canada International since 2007 and as in the previous ones, we are searching for the best Canadian producers and we are aiming to show the multicultural reality of Canada’s urban and rural regions.
